Snow Much Fun.....

I forgot to post these pictures of our "snowstorm" last Friday. This was noteworthy, seeing as how it rarely snows here. It was so exciting! We woke up to the giant snowflakes falling down fast. The weird thing was that typically when there is even the slightest threat of wintry weather, everyone panics and everything here gets cancelled. But this time, with big flakes that were actually sticking, school was still in session. And I had one unhappy second grader on my hands. She had envisioned spending the day building snowmen and drinking hot cocoa. Poor little thing.

It ended up snowing for several hours. Just looking outside, it appeared as though we were somewhere other than Texas.

Until noon.

When the sun came out and melted it all within minutes.

It was fun while it lasted.
