SoCal, Part 1

Our initial reason for heading to California was to visit with a good friend of ours as he coached my ol' college in a football game. They never play out this way, so we saw it as a fun opportunity. See a little football, visit with friends, and umm... go to CALIFORNIA.

Our first destination was LA. Just look at those mountains.

We, of course, went to Hollywood.

And walked down Hollywood Blvd. It was loads of fun seeing the stars on the sidewalk, and all of the famous landmarks that we always see on TV. I was a little giddy.

Look really close and you'll see the Hollywood Sign on the hill.......

In the next picture, I am posing by Bruce's star. That's Bruce Willis, of course. Just beside my head, you will see the feet of fake Marilyn Monroes wandering around in front of the Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Talk about a freakshow. Whew.

And Spiderman was doing balancing tricks on a trashcan.

He was really talented.
The girls finally found a star they recognized!

And we saw the Kodak Theatre...... which did not impress the girls until they found out that American Idol finales had been there. Whatever works.

So much fun......
