8 Months

Our baby boy is now 8 months old.

Time is going by so fast.

He's so much fun, but I fear that he is already completely spoiled.

By 6 months old, all three girls could pick up cheerieos and put them in their mouths, and hold their own bottles.

When you try to hand him a piece of cereal, his hands stay down and he leans his head over to get it in his mouth, much like a bird. And he shows no interest in holding his bottle, or drinking from his sippy cup. I'm not worried about motor skills though, because he has no trouble picking up toys and putting them in his mouth. But with food, he would rather it be done for him. And his sisters are happy to accomodate.

He's just starting to move around, but I don't think it's on purpose. Mostly, he scoots backwards and away from what he's trying to get. He actually prefers to be held and have his toys handed to him.

But, man, he makes us smile.

And he makes us laugh.

And he can give the sweetest kisses.

He's such a precious addition to our family.

If it makes you feel any better, Clayton is an only child, and she NEVER held her own bottle...she "could" do it, but even at 1 year when she was still doing her "night-night" bottle...she wanted you to hold it...He's adorable, though...so just keep holding his bottle for him!!! He will have sisters to take care of him all of his life!!!
