Yesterday we participated in World Water Day.

Our city held fun festivities to inform everyone about water conservation and recycling, and also to raise awareness for the areas in our world that don't have clean drinking water, and how we can help.This is Mohave Max. He's a big player out here in the desert.
There was some face painting.
There was a robot that had a long conversation with Miss Priss. She was impressed.
There was also a 1 1/2 mile walk that represented the 3+ miles that some women and children in underprivileged countries have to walk every day, just to get safe drinking water for their families.
It was really good for our girls (and for us) to take part in something like this. We had some really neat discussions with them about the people in other countries who didn't have clean water, and also about remembering to be thankful that we have all we need.

I see it sometimes and get cracked up that we actually live here.)
